New 1957 GMC Shop Truck Project
We got an opportunity to buy a 1957 GMC project truck from our family that has been in the family as far back as I can remember. The truck is beat up a bit but it is a California truck so very little rust. We are planning on making the truck a short bed, doing a complete modern suspension upgrade, add an LS engine with an automatic trans, power steering, power brakes and a lot of coolness.
I have also included a few pictures of an inspiration truck that I would like to recreate some lines from. Now I have to think of a name for the project.
Pink Floyd Day 6
Day number 6 ends with a good amount of progress. We removed the doors and just about finished up under the dash, just have the pedals to go now. I tried to remove the steering box without taking off the header, NO LUCK had to remove the drivers side header then out came the steering box and column. We got the radiator out and just about everything we need to remove to lift the body off. We have some bumper brackets left and a bit of chrome then off comes the body.
As soon as the paint is stripped we will do an official name change to just plain old FLOYD to keep a little bit of the history 🙂

Project Pink Floyd – Week 6 Progress Update
Week number 6 has been a little slow. I have been waiting on parts to complete the rockers. We also got the motor uncrated and on the engine stand preparing it for paint and prep.

More fun with Baking Soda 🙂 We are doing a DIY soda blasting project using an Eastwood Dual Blast unit. This project took about 600 lbs of baking soda.
Floyd – Week 11 Progress Update
WOW, I have taken about 4 weeks off from the build project. We took a cruise to Alaska and came back with a cold that was hard to shake off so now I have my energy back and I am ready to get going again.
This week our new Jim Myers front suspension arrived. After an inventory we found a few parts missing but they have now been shipped and it looks like everything but the steering column has arrive. We started painting the bare metal with POR 15 semi-gloss and plan to top coat it later. Parts are still hanging in my paint area, will post more pictures soon.
New 1950 Shop Truck Project
We are planning our next build and it is looking like it will be an early 50’s pickup and we would like it to look very much like this fantastic looking 50’s Chevy 3100.
We came across a partially finished project that has some good bones and this may be the future project truck if it all works out.
Pavers going down in dirty space (on a budget)
Day 1 – For those of you who have been following us for a while know we have been using an area under a concrete porch to do our dirty work and to double as a poor mans paint booth. When we started this project it was very damp, had a gravel floor and no drainage.
We stared by installing a corrugated french drain system surrounded by packing peanuts in a mesh throughout the 1500 sqft which drains into a sump pump. 
C2 ZR1 ’64 Corvette Stingray
