Project 63 – 4/28 Progress
I made a good amount of progress on project 63 this weekend. After weeks of tear down and cleaning finally I am to the point of re-assembly 🙂
The engine bay paint and engine paint is complete, finally got the repainted valve covers back on with new decals. I re-installed the batter mount and I started putting the wiring back in place. I also had to paint the new A/C compressor and Alt brackets so they will been to dry overnight.
I ran into a small issue when installing the lower pulley I found out one of the 3 holes in the harmonic balancer was stripped. Fortunately I had an extra balancer so all is good now.
I re-installed the freshly repainted exhaust manifolds and I installed a new fuel pump, water pump and repainted thermostat housing.
I completed installing new brake shoes, wheel cylinders and rubber brake lines all the way around. Now I am just waiting on the master cylinder to come back form being re-sleeved.
Lastly I started final shaping of the fiberglass tunnel replacement. I just have a little more glass work then I can start installing the heat treatment for the floor.
Pink Floyd – Week 16 progress
Week 16 has brought some good progress. Most of the body is ready for paint. We completed painting the underside, engine bay, interior and trunk in Blitz Black. We have the red and white paint to do the exterior next.
We completed the frame rust repair and it now has a fresh coat of blitz black paint, the rear end is installed and the new front suspension is almost finished. Next will be installing the new stainless steel brake lines.
We still need to paint the motor and bell housing in Chevy Orange but we did finish painting the exhaust manifolds with POR 15 grey high temp paint.
We ordered new tires and wheels this week. We are going with 17×7 chrome Torq Thrust II wheels with 215/55/17 Falcon tires.

Floyd – Week 4 Progress Update
Week 4 has been wrapping up the bulk of the soda blasting. I finally got the door hinges and door strikers removed. I had to grind out the door striker so will have to buy some new ones.
Big news this week, the new Chevy 350 crate motor arrived. Now I am just waiting on the 5 speed and Jim Meyer front end.

Pink Floyd Day 5
It was another short night for Day 5 but we made great progress. The first item we removed was the gas tank. After that we were able to finish up removing most if the dash, the dash pad and windshield. We also removed the windshield wipers and got a few more bits of trim removed. I left the car lifted while the radiator drains over night. Tomorrow we will work on some more trim and start on the engine bay in preparation for removing the body from the frame this coming weekend then we start stripping paint.
More to come tomorrow!
